January 18 & 19, 2014

Man, I'm horrible at this. It's only January and I'm slacking. Here's the haps for Saturday and Sunday...

3 things I'm thankful for today:
* a chance to sleep in, lay in bed, and have no where to be all day
* peace and quiet to study my lesson for Sunday
* talking about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ with my sweet Beehives and hearing their testimonies of them

2 things that happened today:
* I went to school for a bit on Saturday and sent my coworker to urgent care. She sounded bad and I don't want to get it!
* I laid out Cousin's baby quilt. I think it'll be cute!

January 16 & 17, 2014

These two days kinda blended together so it's now one post... and, let's be honest, I'm lazy.

3 things I'm thankful for today:
* A sweet new boy in my class and the way my students were so inviting and loving
* Mid singles institute class... even if it was hard to keep my eyes open
* A three day weekend

2 things that happened today:
* I got a new student which takes me up to 28 students.
* Someone turned up the crazy in my classroom because it was cray cray up in there! I was so disappoined in them that I tons them they could sit in silence until they could apologize to each other. Ridiculous! Full moon, three day weekend fever, I don't know. I'm just glad we all made it out of school alive and smiling.

1 picture: I get a sticky note from one of my students almost everyday for the last week. She asked me what I did with them when I leave. I told her they were in my car. My favorite one says, " I'm your student."

3 things I'm thankful for today:
* bedtime
* a great team of teachers to work with each day
* good neighbors with cute babies to hang out with when I get home

2 things that happened today:
* I almost made my class miss recess because I ignored one of my many phone alarms.
* I found quite a few books I wound like to order out of the Scholastic book orders... too bad I'm not rich!

3 things I'm thankful for today:
* the youth theme for the year: Cone unto Christ
* a quiet drive
* well-behaved kids during a fire drill

2 things that happened today:
* We put stuff in water to see if it would sink or float. Six and seven year olds love that kind of junk.
* I went to a class that told me I'm doing a good job teaching reading to some of my kids. I'll find out next week if I'm screwing up the other ones.

3 things I'm thankful for today:
* getting accepted into a reading class for tomorrow that should really help my students out
* finding out what to study for my mid-singles institute class
* actually finding out there is a mid-singles institute class to go to

2 things that happened today:
* I ran around like a crazy person trying to get a bunch of stuff done at school this morning at 7:15.
* I took down my Christmas bulletin board and put up a Martin Luther King, Jr. board.

* My sweet Beehives
* My Savior

2 things that happened today:
* I printed a lot of reading passages for my kids so they can read like champs!
* I helped my parents put away the last of Christmas at the house... sad.

* Dr. Pepper
* Being done with my science class for the month... 5 more to go until June
* My car and my hour lunch break from my science class

2 things that happened today:
* I spent all day in a science class.
* I had a lot of Dr. Pepper to stay awake in said science class.
